Unit 8 Comparison of two exercises

Loving Kindness and Meeting Asclepius are probably the most beneficial to me in my life right now. The Subtle Mind is definitely a strong one as well. I have already begun adding this to my daily life for several reasons. I am working on many things in my life right now and one is forgiveness. I need to forgive things that have happened in my childhood. Also I need to work on a stronger inner person. One that I respect love and take care of Meeting Asclepius is a great way for me to find and keep that person close. The Subtle Mind is very important as well because I need to control my thoughts, feelings, and images in my mind not allow them to control me.

  1. Hi Anddrea,

Seems like we all are dealing with some type of un-forgiveness and that’s good that you are at a place in your life where you are ready to fix it. I was at a place where I thought I couldn’t forgive but I knew I had no other choice being that I’m a Christian. God has really helped me through my trials, and he can help you as well Anddrea all you have to do is ask. (smile) working or yourself is also good it’s been a daily process for me though. If you keep up the good work Anddrea soon you will see a change. I wish you the best Nice post.

  2. Anndrea,

I wish you the best in your journey for forgiveness. I have always carried around a burden of not forgetting. I would say I may forgive what someone does, but I will never forget. Does that make any sense? Not really. I have a cousin have not spoken to in over 20 years. She was pure evil to me as a child. My goal now is trying to put the past in the past. This could be one of the hardest things I have ever done.

    Best wishes,
    Ginger

  3. Hey there Anddrea!!!

I really enjoyed reading your Unit 8 blog, and I thought it was interesting to see that we have both chosen the same background format for our blogs!!

I chose two different exercises (meditation and visualization) from our class than you did, which benefited me the most. However, after reading over your blog I realized that the two exercises you chose benefited yourself better. Forgiveness is one of the greatest things to conquer in life, and my mother has hard times learning this too. I believe that since I see so much resentment from my mother, it makes it easier for me to find forgiveness in people. Once you learn how to be very forgiving, it will make you feel like a much better person all around!! Good luck, and great job on your post!!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
